Bharti Airtel becomes the world’s fourth largest telecom operator

India’s telecom major Bharti Airtel has become the world’s fourth largest telecom operator says report from analyst firm Wireless Intelligence.

China Mobile tops the list with 683.08 million connections, followed by Vodafone Group with 386.88 million and American Movil Group with 251.83 million connections. Then comes Bharti Airtel with 250.04 million connections and the fifth one is Telefonica Group with 243.51 connections.

The report also says that Bharti Airtel connections increased by 13 per cent year-on-year to overtake Telefonica.

Other Indian Operators Reliance Communications, Idea Cellular and BSNL ranked at eight, fourteenth and twentieth positions respectively.
